The Hulede Foundation has awarded scholarships to 348 needy students at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 712 since 2021.
The scholarship covers tuition fees, and recipients are encouraged to volunteer 40 hours of community service annually.
This year, 20 outstanding beneficiaries received brand new laptops. The foundation's mission is to create opportunities for the less privileged, and it has also provided aid to basic schools and senior high schools in Kumasi.
The ultimate goal is to encourage recipients to develop a culture of giving back to society.
