Ghana welcomed 524 members of the African diaspora as new citizens in a historic ceremony on November 19, 2024, marking the third such event under President Akufo-Addo's administration.
The ceremony, part of the ongoing “Year of Return” initiative, aimed to strengthen ties between Ghana and its global diaspora.
President Akufo-Addo highlighted the significance of the event, urging the new citizens to embrace Ghanaian values like respect and equity.
