The Registrar of the National Teaching Council (NTC), Dr. Christian Addai-Poku, revealed that 68% of Ghanaian teachers meet the required standards based on the Teacher Licensure Examination results.
Speaking on JoyNews' EduTalk Show, Dr. Addai-Poku emphasized that this consistent pass rate, maintained since the exam's introduction in 2018, reflects the competence of the majority of teachers.
He also addressed a past controversy involving a temporary 16% pass rate during a transition phase, clarifying that it was an isolated incident and not representative of overall teacher performance.
