North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa is leading a protest today against the sale of a 60% stake in four SSNIT-owned hotels to Rock City Hotel, owned by Food and Agriculture Minister Bryan Acheampong.
Ablakwa and other stakeholders have raised concerns about the selection process for Rock City.
In an interview with Citi News, Ablakwa questioned why Acheampong, if capable, doesn't use his expertise to benefit the hotels while in cabinet, rather than after purchasing them.
He labeled the transaction as state capture by government appointees and emphasized the protest aims to force the government to terminate the sale.
