Ablakwa urges SSNIT to adopt Labadi Beach Hotel’s turnaround strategy for troubled assets

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, North Tongu MP, has advised SSNIT to adopt a successful turnaround strategy used for Labadi Beach Hotel to rescue its other struggling hotels like La Palm Royal Beach and Elmina Beach Resort.

Speaking on PM Express on JoyNews, Ablakwa, who opposes SSNIT’s plan to sell hotel stakes, attributes current issues to poor management.

He recalls that Labadi Beach Hotel, once struggling, was revitalized by bringing in new management from South Africa.

Ablakwa suggests that SSNIT implement this model for its other hotels instead of selling majority stakes, emphasizing better management over divestment.
