Access Bank partners Asante Kotoko on census project

In line with Access Bank's policy to support the sports industry in the country, the Bank has entered into a partnership with Asante Kotoko Sporting Club on the Club’s Census project.

In a short ceremony at the Manhyia Palace today, a high delegation from Access Bank led by the Group Head of Business Banking, Kafui Bimpe, and Group Head of Retail Banking Yvonne Antonio, presented a dummy membership card and key to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and management of the Club to seal the partnership deal.

Under the partnership, Access Bank will support the Asante Kotoko Census project, aimed at mobilizing data on the over 5million Club supporters worldwide with new and existing data gathered from the Club's records, to establish a support base for the club.

In a quest to drive a cash-lite economy and promote financial inclusion, Access Bank will in addition produce multipurpose membership cards that will also serve as visa cards to be used for payments across multiple channels.

In the face of the partnership, Access Bank has presented an ultra-modern bus to Kotoko Sporting Club, to facilitate the team's movement to and from match venues across the country.

Speaking on behalf of Access Bank’s Managing Director Olumide Olatunji, Group Head of Business Banking, Kafui Bimpe expressed Access Bank’s commitment to supporting the sports industry in the country, as it presents a great opportunity to unearth talents while providing jobs for the youth.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II thanked Access Bank for believing in the vision of Kotoko Sporting Club. He was optimistic that the partnership will propel the Club to higher heights and urged the management of the club to be good custodians of the bus.

CEO of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah called on fans worldwide to pre-register for their membership cards from Access Bank. He thanked Access Bank for the partnership and looked forward to fruitful years ahead.
