The Municipal Chief Executive Officer (MCE) for Offinso North Haruna Yusif, has stated that suspended National Chairman and General Secretary of New Patriotic Party (NPP) Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong will vote for President John Mahama in the December polls.

He said there is no way these two including the suspended second vice chairman of the party Sammy Crabbe would vote for the presidential nominee of NPP Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo after being humiliated by the party.

Speaking with host of Abusua Nkommo on Abusua FM, Yusif said he could bet his last pessewa that the suspended NPP stalwarts will definitely vote for NDC adding that they wish to see President Mahama retained in power.

Commenting on the perception that a section of the public will vote skirt and blouse, he said ‘Who will Afoko vote for? deceive yourself that they will vote for Nana Addo and NPP. You will see for yourself. I am telling you Afoko, Kwabena Agyapong and Sammy Crabbe will vote for President Mahama. There is no denying the fact that they will vote for NDC, and a lots more of NPP members will vote for President Mahama’.

He underscored that the parliamentary candidate for Klottey Korle Dr Zanetor Rawlings whose biological mother Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings is contesting in the presidential race will also vote for President Mahama and not her mother.

According to Yusif, the NPP is not in good shape and that Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong will gladly retire Nana Addo from active politics.

‘NPP cannot deal with their own internal squabbles, they cannot unite to campaign together to pursue a common goal. NPP members refused to listen to former President Kufour’s advise to choose a leader who they can relate to and unite members. They personalized the party and chose Nana Addo and now everything is in shambles,’ he claimed.

The MCE called on NPP to emulate the NDC when it comes to wining votes, appealing to Ghanaians to vote massively for President Mahama in the December polls.
