The National Communications Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi, has rejected the Special Prosecutor’s advice concerning former President John Mahama’s involvement in the Airbus bribery scandal.
Although the Special Prosecutor, Mr. Kissi Agyebeng, cleared Mahama of bribery charges, he raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest due to Mahama's communications with Airbus officials and his familial connections.
Gyamfi, however, focused on the exoneration, dismissing the Special Prosecutor’s advice as irrelevant.
He questioned whether Mahama should have resigned as Vice President given the circumstances and emphasized that the party is only concerned with the lack of evidence against Mahama.
