Former Auditor General Daniel Yao Domelevo urged President Akufo-Addo to reduce the number of ministers and public office holders to combat corruption, arguing the government's size is too large.
Domelevo expressed concern over the current administration's corruption levels and suggested dismissing many officials to conserve the country's resources.
In a Friday interview, he emphasized government accountability and the need for a comprehensive reduction of appointees.
Domelevo called for the recovery of stolen state assets and the prosecution of responsible individuals, stressing the importance of curbing wasteful spending and unnecessary borrowing. He also urged Ghanaians to hold leaders accountable for their promises.
