President Akufo-Addo has appointed Herbert Krapa as Minister of State at the Energy Ministry, citing the increasing workload at the ministry.
Krapa, currently Deputy Energy Minister and Board Chairman of the Electricity Company of Ghana, was nominated for the role to provide additional support.
Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin announced the president’s request for parliamentary approval, explaining the necessity due to the exceptionally heavy workload.
This appointment follows the practice of having a substantive minister and three deputies at the Energy Ministry.
