Former Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Inusah Fuseini, has criticized President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for failing to address illegal mining (galamsey) effectively.
This comes after the president accused NDC flagbearer John Mahama of inconsistency on the issue during a recent tour.
Fuseini dismissed the accusations, defending Mahama's record on mining and accusing Akufo-Addo of politicizing the problem. He argued that the NDC has a clear plan for managing small-scale mining, while the government has struggled to curb galamsey.
Fuseini called the president’s actions a "dereliction of duty" and a distraction from his own administration’s shortcomings.
