Over 20,000 graduates from the Allied Health Professions Council are jobless despite passing their licensing exams.
The council blames this on the government’s failure to recruit allied health professionals fairly, as many mature professionals migrate for better opportunities abroad.
Dr. Daniel Atta-Nyarko, the Acting Registrar, urged the government to prioritize allied health recruitment to address the growing unemployment among qualified professionals.
At an induction ceremony for 2,536 new graduates, Dr. Thomas Gyampomah encouraged them to embrace technology and innovation to transform healthcare and improve service quality.
