The Attorney General's Office has announced that it will not pursue charges against those spreading falsehoods about Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame in the ongoing ambulance case.
Godfred Dame denied allegations by National Democratic Congress (NDC) members that he sought cooperation to convict the first accused, Cassiel Ato Forson.
Deputy Attorney General Alfred Tuah Yeboah clarified that Richard Jakpa, the third accused, proposed plea bargaining, which was rejected.
The Attorney General revealed video evidence of Ato Forson pleading for prosecution discontinuation.
The office views the allegations as an NDC attempt to pressure Dame or divert attention. No defamation lawsuits will be pursued.
