Health Minister Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye has denied claims that $34 million was paid to Service Ghana Auto Group Limited for ambulance parts.
MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa had accused former ministers Ken Ofori-Atta and Kwaku Agyeman-Manu of a dubious last-minute deal.
Dr. Okoe Boye clarified before Parliament's Government Assurances Committee that the Bank of Ghana confirmed only a letter of credit exists and no payment has been made.
Payments will occur only upon the company fulfilling its delivery obligations.
