Amenfi Central: EC has no power to disqualify Joana Cudjoe – Dafeamekpor

South Dayi MP Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor has challenged the Electoral Commission's (EC) decision to disqualify Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the NDC parliamentary candidate for Amenfi Central, from the upcoming December elections.

The EC cited a pending injunction related to the NDC’s annulled primary election as the reason for disqualification.

However, Dafeamekpor argues that only a court can declare a candidate ineligible, not the EC.

He criticized the EC for overstepping its authority and called for legal justification, emphasizing that the injunction alone does not disqualify Cudjoe from running in the election.
