The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has intensified its legal pursuit to secure Joana Gyan Cudjoe’s recognition as its parliamentary candidate for Amenfi Central by filing a new writ at the Sekondi High Court.
This move follows a setback on October 31, when the Accra High Court dismissed the NDC's attempt to halt the Electoral Commission’s (EC) ballot paper printing for the by-election.
The EC has refused to acknowledge Cudjoe as the NDC candidate, despite a Sekondi High Court ruling in May supporting her candidacy.
NDC Deputy Director of Elections, Dr. Tanko Rashid Computer, stated the party filed a fresh case to challenge the court’s reliance on an outdated injunction.
