Eco-conscious citizens are demanding the arrest of Frank Annoh-Dompreh, MP for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, over his alleged admission of involvement in illegal mining, or "galamsey," which has harmed Ghana's water bodies and forests.
During a recent parliamentary session, Annoh-Dompreh claimed the previous NDC government was responsible for more water pollution than the current NPP government.
Activists, led by Awula Serwaa, have criticized his comments as an admission of guilt and called for urgent action from law enforcement.
They argue that the focus should be on addressing the environmental crisis rather than comparing past and present pollution levels.
