The Supreme Court has adjourned the case challenging the approval of the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, also known as the anti-LGBTQ+ bill, to July 29, 2024.

Lawyers for petitioner Paul Boama-Sefa and the Speaker of Parliament, the defendant, are to file written submissions within four weeks.

The Judiciary Service has permitted live media coverage of all cases related to the bill.

Previously, Chief Justice allowed live streaming of Richard Sky’s injunction application against the bill.

Currently, four cases concerning the anti-LGBTQ+ bill are pending in the court system, with two at the High Court and two at the Supreme Court.
