Apostle Albert Amoah retires from ministerial service

The Cape Coast Area Head Pastor of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Albert Amoah has retired from active ministerial service of the church.

Apostle Amoah, who served with dedication in the ministry for 27 years was honoured with a special retirement service held on Sunday at the New Examinations Centre of the University of Cape Coat (UCC).

Apostle M.O. Andoh, Executive Council Member of the General Council of the Pentecost Church, Ghana in a testimony to honour the service of Apostle Amoah and his family, described him as highly affable, approachable and easy-going, adding “ his high sense of dedication and professionalism coupled with excellent academic prowess gives inspiration to others”.

“Apostle Albert Amoah succeeded in making the word of God come alive anytime he took charge of the pulpit to preach. As a Bible teacher, he has commitment, loyalty, responsibility, humility and discipline as his trademarks", he stressed.

Elder Moses Ekow Ntow, Cape Coast Area Presbytery representative described Apostle Albert Amoah as a man of God and one of the most highly respected Apostles of the Church of Pentecost.

“He is highly affable, approachable and easy going. Although principled, he is a good listener, who is able to tolerate anyone who come his way. He is an analytical and critical thinker, a great encourager whose relationship with the Presbytery and the entire church membership has been very cordial and remarkable”, he added.

Dr Emmanuel Kwesi Anim, Principal at the Pentecost Theological Seminary also described the demeanor of Apostle Albert Amoah as one of sobriety, humility and affableness.

He said “ Apostle’s thoughtfulness and vision have inspired many ministers pursue further education to enhance their ministry and personal development”.

Apostle Ebenezer Nii Odai Quaye, Belgium National Head also explained that Apostle is a real legend in the annals of the church and has left inedible foot prints in every facets in the ministry as a legacy posterity.

Other representatives from different branches of the Pentecost Church who poured in their testimony at the ceremony described Apostle Albert Amoah and his family as great people, adorable, approachable and their hard work will forever be remembered.

Apostle Albert Amoah is married to Mrs Agatha Amoah and they have given birth to two daughters, Doris Amoah (now Mrs Doris Asare) and Gifty Amoah (now Mrs Gifty Owusu-Ansah). They adopted other five children, Diana, Rhoda, Dorcas, Osofomaame Patricia Aidoo and little Agatha Amoah jnr.

Prior to his retirement, Apostle Abert Amoah served as Overseer for in Manso-Atwere District, Personal Assistant to the Chairman Late M.K.Yeboah, became the General Secretary, was a Member of the Executive Council, Missionary and National Head of USA-Inc and finally became the Area Head of the Pentecost Church at Cape Coast.
