Andy Appiah-Kubi, Chairman of Ghana's Foreign Affairs Committee, supports U.S. visa restrictions targeting individuals who threaten the electoral process ahead of Ghana’s December elections.
The restrictions, also affecting family members of offenders, aim to curb voter intimidation and interference. Appiah-Kubi emphasized the need for fair elections, warning that manipulative tactics harm Ghana's democratic image globally.
He urged political leaders and supporters to act responsibly, upholding democratic values to ensure the country's stability.
Appiah-Kubi agreed with the U.S. stance, stressing that those disrupting democracy should not find refuge elsewhere.
