Appiah Kubi’s comments on Bawumia’s running mate choice distasteful – Afenyo-Markin

Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has criticized Asante Akim North MP Andy Appiah-Kubi's comments about Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's potential running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh.

Afenyo-Markin emphasized respecting party rules and maintaining decorum, stressing unity and mutual respect within the party.

Appiah-Kubi had claimed that Prempeh was not widely accepted within the NPP and couldn't campaign effectively.

Afenyo-Markin countered by expressing confidence in Dr. Bawumia's ability to make decisions using party structures, reiterating the importance of cohesion and appropriate language in intra-party discussions to avoid internal tensions.
