Asantehene’s first visit to King Charles III after his coronation

King Charles III has welcomed Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu III to Sandringham House on Tuesday, marking the first visit to the King since his coronation in March 2023.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu III is in the UK for his Silver Jubilee celebrations and other engagements, including a lecture at the British Museum.

The Asantehene, who began his UK visit on July 13, 2024, will host the sixth Akwasidae Festival in London on August 4, 2024, as part of his 25th anniversary.

During his trip, he also engaged with the Victoria and Albert Museum and celebrated the Awukudae festival.
