The Ashanti Regional Health Directorate has intensified public education on cholera prevention, following confirmed cases in Greater Accra’s Ada West and Ada East Districts.
Through traditional media and community centers, the Directorate urges residents to maintain clean environments and practice good hygiene.
Dr. Fred Adomako-Boateng, Regional Director of Health Services, advised frequent handwashing, safe water consumption, and thorough washing of fruits and vegetables.
He also urged those with symptoms like watery stool, vomiting, or fatigue to seek medical attention promptly, emphasizing that cholera prevention requires collective action from all households.
