The Ministry of Roads and Highways has reopened the Atimpoku-Asikuma road after severe flooding on June 29, 2024.
A viral video showed part of the road near a police barrier collapsing due to the flood.
An assessment by the Ghana Highway Authority found the bridge over the Fodoga River intact but revealed 120 meters of the road's surface damaged.
