Atta Akyea, Patrick Boamah, others changed in parliamentary committees shake-up

Parliament has reshuffled its committees, appointing Samuel Atta Akyea to chair Local Government and Rural Development, and Emmanuel Akwasi Gyamfi to lead Mines and Energy.

Patrick Yaw Boamah is now the Finance Committee chair, and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa heads the Government Assurances Committee.

Committee sizes were reduced for efficiency.

Additionally, the Legislative Instrument to amend Road Traffic Regulations, granting MPs and Ministers special privileges, was withdrawn following public and stakeholder concerns.
