Samuel Atta Akyea has called for a parliamentary investigation into the stalled Pwalugu Dam Project, which began in November 2019.
Despite a $12 million allocation, the project shows no progress. Atta Akyea urges Parliament to question the contractor and possibly the consultant to understand how the funds were used and why the project is abandoned.
He cautioned against politicising the issue and stressed the need for accountability.
The project, featuring a 60 MW hydropower and 50 MW solar power system, was expected to be completed by mid-2024 but remains undeveloped, with parts of the site now used for farming.
