Barbara Oteng-Gyasi and husband appointed Board Chairs by Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Tony Oteng-Gyasi and his wife Barbara Oteng-Gyasi as board chairpersons for three separate state bodies.

Mr. Oteng-Gyasi was recently appointed and sworn in as the new Board Chair of the Ghana Revenue Authority, (GRA).

The former President of the Association of Ghana Industries, and Managing Director and Chairman of Tropical Cable and Conductor Ltd replaced Professor Stephen Adei as the new Chair of the Board of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) who served as Board Chair from 2019 to 2021.

He is expected to bring his experiences to bear in the management of the Ghana Revenue Authority.

Mr. Oteng-Gyasi is also the chair of new Board of Directors for the Ghana Integrated Aluminium Development Corporation (GIADEC), with Mr Michael Ansah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GIADEC, Mr. Martin Kwaku Ayisi, representative of the Minerals Commission, Mr Humphrey Ayim Darke, representative of the Association of Ghana Industries and Mr George Mireku Duker, Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources as members.

The rest are; Abena Osei-Asare, Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr Benjamin Ofosu Adoo, representative of the Integrated Aluminium Industry, Mr Jaezi Orleans-Lindsey, Dr Henry Benyah, Nana Adutwumwaa Dokua, Okyenhemaa and Nana Amampene Boateng Twum II (Nyinahinhene) all President Nominees.

His wife is the chairperson for the board of the Minerals Commission.

She replaces former Ashanti Regional Minister, S.K. Boafo, as Chairperson of the Commission.

Madam Oteng-Gyasi was appointed by President Nana Akufo-Addo and sworn into office with other members of the board on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, by the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel A.Jinapor.
