The Ministry of National Security in Ghana has responded to allegations made by MP Mahama Ayariga regarding the allocation of GH¢6,000,000 monthly to address the Bawku conflict.
The Ministry describes Ayariga's statements as "unfortunate" and "mistaken", warning that they could reignite tensions and endanger lives.
The Ministry explains that the funds cover operational costs for a Special Task Force aimed at maintaining peace in Bawku and surrounding areas.
They emphasize that the funds are part of their general operational budget and are necessary to protect citizens' lives and livelihoods.
