Bawku conflict: Ghana Card allegedly being used to identify tribes – John Krugu

NPP's Zebilla candidate, John Krugu, has raised concerns over the alleged misuse of Ghana Cards to identify people by tribal affiliation amid escalating violence in Bawku.

He revealed that some individuals, uninvolved in the Kusasi-Mamprusi conflict, have lost their lives.

The Presbyterian Hospital in Bawku is reportedly overwhelmed, with blocked roads preventing the transfer of critically injured individuals to Bolgatanga.

Following an attack on travelers near Walewale, where eight people died and vehicles were torched, security forces have intensified efforts to restore peace in the region.
