Former NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyei Agyapong praised Vice President and NPP Presidential Candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, calling him a leader of “exceptional integrity” essential for Ghana.
Agyapong, who ran against Bawumia in the NPP primaries, has since pledged his support, lauding Bawumia’s unblemished record as Vice President.
Speaking in Adaklu, Agyapong emphasized Bawumia’s historic role as the first Muslim NPP flagbearer, breaking perceptions of the NPP as Akan-centered.
Noting Bawumia’s broad appeal, Agyapong highlighted the Vice President’s overwhelming 61% primary win as a transformative moment for the party and the nation.
