Bawumia to launch E-Health, Africa’s first electronic management system for patients

On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will launch a groundbreaking digital health initiative called E-Health.

This program aims to revolutionize Ghana's healthcare system by digitizing patient records and enhancing medical management across hospitals.

E-Health, the first of its kind in Africa, integrates protocols from Ghana's Disease Surveillance Unit and connects teaching, regional, and district hospitals for seamless patient record access.

This initiative builds on previous innovations, including the drone medical delivery service and E-Pharmacy, further improving healthcare efficiency and safety.

Dr. Bawumia anticipates a significant positive impact on the healthcare system.
