Boniface joins Christians to thank God for successful election

The Member of Parliament-elect for Madina Constituency in the Greater Region last Sunday joined the Christian community in his area to give thanks and glory to the Lord almighty for seeing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) though a successful election.

The visit to some of the churches in the area took the MP-elect and his Constituency party executives to the Ebenezer Methodist Church and the Immanuel Presbyterian Church all in the La-Nkwantang Municipal Assembly.

The MP-elect, Alhaji Abubakar Saddique Boniface was accompanied by Michael Mc-kenzie, constituency chairman, general secretary, treasurer, youth organizer among others to seek the face of God and to thank him.

And seek his support for the flag bearer of the opposition NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was announced by the Electoral Commission as the winner of the December7, presidential polls.

He told the congregation that he came to seek their blessing during the election and for peaceful elections and since he has been pronounced the winner, it is only appropriate that he comes to share his victory with the church.

He expressed his gratitude to the lord almighty for seeing the nation through a successful election and for ensuring that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo emerged winner of the election peacefully.

He explained that he chose to come to the church to seek the face of God even though he is a Moslem because it is believed that when you want to talk to God speak to him in the midst of his people.

It is believed that if you want to speak with God speak through the air but this can only be achieved when the children of the lord opens up to one another.

He pledged to make all his promise to the church a reality if he is sworn in as the sitting Member of Parliament for the area come January 7, 2017.

According to him, he is aware of the challenges the church face and will work tirelessly to have some of them resolved to bring reprieve to the members of the church and residents in and around.

He assured the church that he knows the problems confronting the area are enormous but with the support of the church, he can sail through as the political leader of the Constituency.

He appealed to the church to continue to seek the face of God on behalf of the leadership of the NPP and in particular the leadership styles of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to enable him honour his promises to the good people of the country.

He expressed the president-elect’s gratitude to them for their prayers and in ensuring the country emerged out of the crucial elections successful this time around.

On his part, the visiting reverend Minister representing Presiding Minister of the Immanuel Presbyterian Church; Rev. Justice Asumeng admonished the supporters of the party to desist from insulting church leaders in the country.

He said when they continue that way they will pay dearly for their actions as their predecessor paid for that act by losing the recent elections.

He reminded them that the church is a constituency that make and unmake political leadership in the country.

He urged them to be wary of their actions in government because it can lead to their down fall in government.

He particularly reminded the MP-elect not to forget about the roads that leads to church house, this received thunderous applause from the congregation.
