Ghana Police thwarted an assassination attempt on Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II, the paramount chief of the Kwahu Traditional Area, when over 50 masked attackers stormed his palace on October 20.
Listowell Nana Kusi-Poku, who reported the incident, claims the assailants were allegedly hired by a high-profile political figure linked to MP Bryan Acheampong.
Kusi-Poku asserts he has audio evidence of one attacker admitting they were sent to kill the chief.
He is calling for a full investigation and better protection for traditional leaders in the wake of this brazen attack.
