Burkina Faso insurgency: Security agencies will safeguard Ghana’s peace – Toobu

Peter Lanchene Toobu, Deputy Ranking Member on Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, has expressed support for Ghana's security agencies in their work to prevent insurgencies, following reports that Islamist militants from Burkina Faso may be using parts of northern Ghana for logistical and medical support.

Toobu highlighted the critical behind-the-scenes efforts by security forces, including collaboration under the Accra Initiative with Burkina Faso, Niger, and other Sahel countries, to maintain peace and stability.

He assured Ghanaians of the agencies' commitment and professionalism, urging the public to trust in their efforts to keep Ghana safe.
