A 47-year-old Burkinabe, Boigouna Aloys, has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the High Court in Accra for murdering his German wife, Claudia Weizmann, and their 14-year-old daughter.
Following a unanimous guilty verdict from a seven-member jury, it was revealed that Aloys used a hammer to kill his wife and then strangled his daughter to prevent her from reporting the crime.
After burying their bodies on their property in Kokrobitey, Aloys was arrested when neighbors reported the unusual absence of the victims and a foul odor. He confessed to the murders during police investigations.
