The Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) has planned industrial action due to the government's delay in implementing the National Labour Commission’s (NLC) orders and service conditions.
CETAG demands compensation for extra duties in 2022 and other concerns.
In a letter to the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC), CETAG criticized the NLC for not enforcing compliance with its directives.
They also accused the FWSC and Ministry of Education of refusing to pay arrears of research allowances from the 2023 Conditions of Service Agreement.
CETAG had suspended a previous strike in September 2023, following NLC directives.
