CETAG withdraws all services following order for July salary freeze

The Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) has withdrawn all services in response to a government directive freezing their July salaries.

The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) ordered the suspension of salaries for all striking CETAG members except for principals.

CETAG's National Council decided to halt services including meetings, ceremonies, academic counseling, and student supervision until further notice.

The association has sought legal action against the salary freeze.

GTEC has called for the teachers to return to work, stating that their concerns are being addressed.
