CHRAJ to investigate EC following IMANI’s petition

The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has launched an investigation into the Electoral Commission's handling of election equipment, following a petition from IMANI Ghana.

The petition alleged improper handling and disposal of equipment, including biometric devices, and potential conflict of interest.

CHRAJ has requested detailed information on the equipment, costs, and officials involved, to be provided within ten days, to facilitate a swift investigation.

This probe aims to ensure transparency and accountability in the management of election equipment.
