CID boss should have been arrested instead of Ofosu-Ampofo - Asiedu Nketia

General Secretary of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia says the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department, COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah should have been arrested instead of NDC National Chairman, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo.

He explained that the CID Boss should have been arrested for deceiving Ghanaians especially the parents of the Takoradi kidnapped girls that she knew the whereabout of the girls and their abductors.

He insisted that the Police has no charge against Chairman Ofosu-Ampofo which is why they keep changing the charges against him in court.

“The first charge was thrown out because they realized it will not help their course. The third charge was assault on a Public Officer and they took that to court and realizing that it won’t help them, they have changed it to kidnapping and so it's nothing new,” he stated.

He wondered why no action has been taken against the CID Boss when she held a press conference announcing that she knows the whereabout of the kidnapped girls and their kidnappers but no girl has been found till date.

“ . . was it not this Tiwaa Addo-Danquah who held a press conference that she knows the whereabout of the kidnapped girls? . . . Has she told the family of the kidnapped girls that very soon they will see their girls?” From that day till date, the girls have not been brought to their parents because you have not seen any of the girls. You and Ofosu-Ampofo, who should be arrested?” he quizzed.

The NDC Chief Scribe on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning show fumed over the fact that Chairman Ofosu-Ampofo has been invited again over an allegation made by an anonymous person claiming that Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo is a part of a scheme.

“You came out to say that you know where the girls are; you are in touch with the kidnappers and that the family should be patience in order not to harm the girls, and now you are saying that you have arrested someone who has mentioned Ofosu-Ampofo’s name . . . Do you know that Maame Tiwaa would have been in police custody if Ghana is a serious country?”
