Security analyst Adam Bonaa has criticized the timing of President Akufo-Addo's appointment of COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno as Deputy Inspector General of Police, just months before the general election.
While acknowledging Yohuno's credentials, Bonaa expressed concern over changing security leadership close to elections, referencing global norms and a similar situation involving former President Trump.
He also questioned the clarity and rationale of Yohuno's specific role in operations.
The Police Council recommended the appointment, citing Yohuno's dedication and exceptional credentials.
