“The Sanitation minister and the Local Government minister are blockheaded the know nothing about their field. They are just wasting money, Look at what is happening in Accra, poor sanitation management, the blame should be shifted to them”, Issaka Amon Kotei, a local governance expert, has said in an interview.
According to him, the sanitation minister, in particular, is “the worst-performing minister ever”.
Mr Kotei explained on Ahotor FM that, the flood happening in the capital is due to the incompetent Sanitation minister and the minister of local government.
Speaking with Citizen Kofi Owusu monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Mr Kotei said: “The Sanitation and Local Government minister are blockheaded the know nothing about their field. They are just wasting money, Look at what is happening in Accra, poor sanitation management, the blame should be shifted to them”.
Heavy rains recently have wreaked havoc in many parts of the country, especially in Accra.
In Kumasi, it claimed the life of a six-year-old boy and destroyed many properties.
In Cape Coast, the Central Region capital, farms were submerged and lectures at the University of Cape Coast were suspended on Wednesday.
Many urban areas in Ghana get flooded every time there is heavy rainfall.
