The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has hailed the Supreme Court's decision to uphold its guidelines banning celebrities from alcohol advertisements as a victory for public health and safety.
The court ruled 5-2 in favor of the FDA, dismissing a lawsuit filed by a talent manager who argued the directive was discriminatory.
The FDA's Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs, Joseph Benneh, welcomed the decision, stating it contributes to the health and safety of Ghanaians.
He acknowledged the celebrities' right to seek clarification but emphasized the importance of prioritizing public health.
