Cement manufacturers called my bluff over pricing concerns – Trade Minister

Trade Minister Kobina Tahir Hammond has disclosed that the Cement Manufacturers Association of Ghana (CMAG) dismissed his directive on cement pricing.

In an interview on Joy News' PM Express, Hammond mentioned hearing rumors that CMAG members mocked his efforts, suggesting that he couldn't resolve the issue.

In response, he summoned two CMAG members to his office and questioned them about their belief in his inability to control prices.
