The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has attributed Tuesday's check-in system disruption at Kotoka International Airport to ongoing excavation works, not to erratic power supply.
The disruption at Terminal 3, which occurred at 7:51 PM on July 16, 2024, lasted about an hour, causing delays in passenger processing and airline turnaround times.
The root cause was a fibre optic system failure due to Ghana Water Company Limited's excavation work affecting Telecel Ghana Limited's fibre path.
GACL managed the situation with backup internet service and assured passengers of its commitment to seamless operations, apologizing for the inconvenience caused.
