A Cholera outbreak in the Ada East and Ada West districts of the Greater Accra Region has resulted in two deaths, with 43 cases confirmed, according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
Dr. Frank Bekoe, Director of Public Health, reported that health authorities are intensifying efforts to contain the outbreak, focusing on early case detection and contact tracing.
Cholera, spread through contaminated food and water, causes severe diarrhea and dehydration, posing high risks in areas with limited sanitation and clean water access.
The GHS aims to prevent further fatalities by closely monitoring and managing the situation.
