Authorities confirm 56 cholera cases since the outbreak in the Kasoa area, with five deaths reported.
Currently, 46 patients are hospitalized and recovering.
Most cases are from Kasoa, with some from Gomoa East and Ga South districts.
Dr. Patrick Kumah Aboagye, Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, announced a response plan to curb the spread, especially in healthcare facilities.
He also urged the public to uphold hygiene standards, including frequent hand washing, and advised schools, workplaces, and marketplaces to provide clean water and handwashing facilities to prevent further spread.
