The Coalition of Concerned Citizens Against Galamsey is presenting a petition to the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources today, October 4, as part of its ongoing three-day protest against illegal mining.

The demonstration, under the slogans “#FreeTheCitizens” and “#SayNoToGalamsey,” began on October 3 to raise awareness about the environmental damage caused by illegal mining.

The protest will end on Saturday, October 5, with a vigil at Independence Square.
