The Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana has suspended a planned 15% increase in transport fares, initially set to begin on Monday, July 22, 2024.

Despite this, the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) advised commuters to ignore the announcement.

David Agboado, the Public Relations Officer of the Association, stated that the suspension was necessary to avoid worsening public hardship.

He urged commercial drivers to maintain current fares and wait for a more appropriate time for any increases.
