Deputy Minister of Health, Dr Bernard Okoe-Boye, has described the narrative of coronavirus case management in the Volta Region as very inspiring after visiting selected health facilities in the area.
He attributed the ability of officials to handle the COVID-19 cases effectively to prudent and proactive measures taken in the region, with the latest positive cases standing at 346.
The Health Ministry on its official Facebook page Thursday quoted the Deputy Minister as saying the story of the region on the COVID-19 case management was an inspiring one.
The visit was to allow the Ministry and Government to ascertain at first hand the situation on the ground on how the deadly virus is being managed with regards to the figures and statistics presented by officials on the region’s performance.
According to the Health Ministry, Dr Okoe-Boye visited the University of Health and Allied Science COVID-19 Testing Centre, Sokode campus, Ho Teaching Hospital, Volta Regional Treatment Centre, Isolation Centre B and Holter treatment Centre on the first day.
It added, on day two, he toured Adidome Hospital/Treatment Centre and Baltor Catholic Hospital/Treatment Centre.
