Eunice Jacqueline Buah Asomah-Hinneh, owner of Labianca Company and Council of State member, has died after a brief illness.
Her passing follows calls for her resignation in 2022 due to corruption allegations related to her frozen foods business. Vitus Azeem, an anti-corruption advocate, urged her resignation and called for a thorough investigation.
However, the High Court dismissed the Office of the Special Prosecutor's report implicating her and another official, ordering the OSP to pay costs.
The report accused Colonel Kwadwo Damoah and Joseph Adu Kyei of wrongdoing in the Labianca case, marking a significant development.
